    If you are looking for some adventure travel, then you have to consider camel trekking in Oman. There are many desert camel treks for you to explore in this unspoilt tourist destination of the world. One of the best ways of travel in the desert camel tracks of Oman is at night and by moonlight where wild desert camps are set under stars. To ensure that you enjoy your small group adventure holiday to the maximum, remember to take these 10 things for the desert safari. 1. As the desert nights can become very cold, woollens are essential. Take along warm sweaters and jackets for extra warmth. 2. You are usually provided with mattresses on desert camel treks. However it is better to take along bedding or a warm sleeping bag and additional blankets to fight the cold. 3. As the daytime will be blistering hot while going camel trekking in Oman, don’t forget your sunglasses and suntan block and lotion. 4. Carry along a first aid kit and other essentials when going on desert camel treks. Remember that you are in the desert, you will never find a shop to buy soaps or toothpastes. 5. Some desert safaris may only make arrangements for food and not mineral water. In such cases, you may have to bring along your own water. You can end up dehydrated while on a desert safari while travelling across the desert. So take along lots of water and drink at least 2-4 litres of water per day to avoid dehydration. 6. Carry extra blankets not only to combat the cold, but also to work as padding for the wooden saddle you sit on. This helps prevent sore bottoms that arise from a hard day’s ride. 7. Make sure you have a camel cart with your camel to not only carry food, utensils and other supplies, but as an option to provide relief for your sore bum. 8. Don’t forget your camera as the scenery here is mesmerizing and worth photographing. 9. Regarding clothing, wear more of cotton as its more cooling in the hot sun. 10. And don’t forget a good hat to keep you cool under the burning desert sun.
